Department of Biology
University of Oxford, Rebrand
Commissioned by the prestigious University of Oxford, our task was to craft a new brand identity for the merged Department of Biology, uniting Plant Science and Zoology. Our aim was to create a unifying emblem that celebrated the rich diversity and unique strengths of each department whilst still demonstrating the gravitas and history that Oxford had in the subject.
Through meticulous research and collaboration with the esteemed Ashmolean Museum, alongside the talented illustrators Rosemary Wise and Sandra Doyle, we curated imagery that spoke to the essence of biology's marvels.
Our efforts bore fruit when the logo received a Gold Medal in the Logo Design category at the 2022 Indigo Awards, a testament to its excellence on the global design stage.
“I just wanted to thank you for the beautiful brand you have created for our department it is absolutely stunning. You have captured our heritage yet delivered a modern and unique identity.
You really understood our many stakeholders, conducted thorough research and insight and provide us with a clear direction.”
